Your Time…Your Voice…

My Tyme aspires to be what human rights groups in America have forgotten to be. We desire to return to the time when the gay rights movement carried a power and fierce indignation. We strive to bring back that militant attitude that says “Half way is never enough!”

We do not accept injustice, and we live by the principal that a couple of voices who refuse to be silent can impact a generation. Those voices are ours voices! This is our time and our generation, and it will be our persistence that will reform the world around us.

This organization seeks to base itself out of St. Louis. Afterward we will move into St. Francois County, opening another chapter in that area. From there we have our sights set state wide. This project will journey on pilgrimages to Jefferson City, Kansas City, Springfield, Branson, Cape Girardeau, and other smaller cities and towns as well. By working in this way we will successfully reach a large number of citizens across the state!

Our goal is to meet with the people of our own region. We want to greet them and talk to them one on one, this is why My Tyme values diversity. If one person can’t reach out to a specific sector of society, perhaps the next person can. We desire this personal approach to campaigning because of the simple fact that human rights is not about the fight, IT IS ABOUT THE PEOPLE YOU ARE FIGHTING FOR.

We will interact with these people on that personal level as well as holding open meeting, rallies, and discussion groups. Picketing, protesting, and petitioning. Running political campaigns, etc… We will fight in the streets of Missouri as well as in the capital. The beginnings of this project may be small, but through our persistence and dedication we will work to make change. This project is built with determined and dedicated people and its members are its strength.

We will draw on new ideas and thought forms. We will pull the best from those who have come before us and those who fight today. The greatest ideals of My Tyme revolve around the attitude of its members. My Tyme members will be involved, militant, and persistent. It was said once in a movie, “Never Give Up, Never Surrender!” At My tyme this is our anthem!

The My Tyme Message Center!

My Tyme is Proud to introduce the My Tyme Message Center. This phone line is open to receive messages for review by My Tyme officials. Callers can report mistreatment and prejudice suffered by the GLBT community in MO, comment on My Tyme's efforts, leave suggestions, or ask questions... The line is completely versatile and all calls will be reviewed and addressed by the Director and/or head chairs of My Tyme Missouri.

The Message center also functions as a help line for all branches of My Tyme, such as the Rainbow Arch Alliance of St. Louis and Project HOME: Farmington/Park Hills, as well as affiliates of these groups!

Callers simply wait for the tone, leave their message, whatever it may be, and if they like they can also leave contact information and their name.... If the caller prefers, they may leave their message anonymously.

Officials say this will be the predecessor to a My Tyme Crisis and Reporting Hot line... But this is yet to be determined

The number for the hot line is 314-477-9258, but don't be fooled by the St. Louis area code, this line will serve all of Missouri, no matter where the caller may be located!

GLBT RIGHTS AND U!

Rainbow Arch Alliance, along with My Tyme Missouri, is seeking new members to join in with meetings, campaigns, ect...

The fight for glbt rights requires strong people with a heart to do good. RAA is a discussion/action group that operates in St.Louis and works throughout Mo for equality!

This summer My Tyme has set high goals for RAA, and there is a lot of work to be done! We need dedicated members and activists to come together to start something great!

JOIN THE FIGHT!

Rainbow Arch has been working hard to recruit people as it prepares to move into it's second phase. July promises to be a busy month for the group as they march into full fledged activism.

Meanwhile Project HOME prepares to enter into phase one in the Farmington/Park Hills area. The program is still attempting to build support, but is slowly growing. My Tyme is incouraging its members from all arenas to support Project HOME in it's earliest stages.
